New Years Eve

We had the Burtons and Conners over for New Years Eve. We ate, played on our phones, boys played PS3, wii, and let some balloons go.
The balloons said 2012, This year I want to....and you filled in what you wanted. Then we
went outside and let them go.
Late that night, Kate, Robin, Sherrie and I ran a 5k. Why you ask? We aren't always sure, but Sherrie has a goal to run a 5k, 8k, 1/2 marathon, and a marathon in 2012. So we are being good friends is my best answer. I was over dressed and got a bit too warm. I threw the glow in the dark necklaces away a bit into the race. I saw a lot of them along the way on the road. I carried mine till I found a garbage. I know. I am so nice. Anyway in my age group I finished 8th with a 25:48 time. I came in like 38th of all the women, and like 140th out of 500 total. I have plans to do a 8k in March but I don't think I plan to do the 1/2 or full marathon. FYI. I don't really want to. That is just too far.

Happy New Year! I can't believe we ran a race at midnight! Remind me to NEVER do that again! .....just kidding. It was fun. Great job, btw!

What a cute New Years Eve tradition. Maybe if anyone is here next New Years Eve we will do that. I am surprised you guys are just sitting around. I thought you might be stretching out and doing yoga and ooomming during meditation to prepare for the metaphoric ushering in of the new year... great time to ponder the events of the universe and our nothingness and all that deep kind of stuff. No, not you guys... you are all just zoning out on your phones. Pathetic!! Love, Mom
