Have fun!

Building a sand castle after Loni's baseball on Saturday.
Ada decided she didn't need her pants on to be at the beach.  Today she told me she was ready to go take Loni to school.  She has on her rain boots since it is raining and her jacket.  Underneath only underwear.  I asked her where her clothes were and she said she was cold and took them off.  I told her to go get some clothes on and she said she didn't want to.  Funny.
Tyce borrowed a pretend little pink camera from Robin's daughter. He kept holding it up and smiling nice and big at it.  Rick kept trying to get a picture of it.  This is the best he got.  It was pretty funny.  He kept doing it over and over.  I love that smile.
Goggles.  Aren't they cool.  Now they are broke, but we will buy more so that we can have more pictures like this.
Chilling at the baseball game.  I have some cute kids and one cute little boy.

Oh what fun....

Ada has been doing preschool.  She likes it pretty well.  She will sing her ABC's now and is becoming a little more outgoing.  I don't know if it is just time for her to be more outgoing or if the learning is affecting her shyness?  We can hope, right.  Anyway I made these paper-mache bowls and then Ada painted them.  They are her sorting bowls.  She can sort the animals by color, count with them, etc.  Aren't they pretty?
Here is our storage door before.  If you can see the dark brown rectangle pieces had been chewed on by Coby.  Nice.  There is a small rusted out hole at the bottom too.  It isn't the pertiest :) door.  Anyway I didn't do the best job....I think a new door would be the next step, but for now this will do......
I sanded it as well as I could, or took the time for.  I filled in the holes left from the screws that held the chewed on rectangles, primed and painted it.  I think it looks pretty good now.  I still have to paint the door frame which will be the dark brown.  I think it will pop a little more and look a little neater.

Tyce is a bum.  He for some reason likes to put his food in his hair.  He thinks this is funny.  I still love him.

Ada's Dance Redemption

The last dance video I posted of Ada was not the greatest.  She cried.  She just sat there.  She walked in a circle.  No dancing.  I don't have high hopes for her performing at the recital. But I do know that she does dance in class and so I snuck some video with my phone.  Sorry it only takes 30 seconds bits and it isn't the greatest clarity.  Easy enough though she is the one in the black skirt.  It is always from behind but you get an idea.  She isn't too bad.  I like the part where she is reaching out and her teacher has to come help her.  So cute.  Hopefully she will do the dance at the recital.  Enjoy!

Batter up!

video
Loni had another game tonight.  Check out the video.  She got hit in the head and so got to walk to first.  She then stole 2nd, I think on a hit ran to 3rd, then stole home!  She slid into it and the catcher was there as well, but he dropped the ball so she was SAFE!  She also did a good play when she was in the outfield.  She is getting better and better.  She is a great cheerer in the dugout and on the field for her team.  The moms love it.

Ada being Ada

This week was parents week at dance.  The girls get to show off their dances to the parents.  I was hoping Ada would participate but she did what I thought she would.  Oh well.  Maybe she will surprise us all and do it in the recital.  Fingers crossed.  I forgot the camera so I didn't get her dance.  She does it at home all the time so I will have to try to get it to post.

T-shirt redo

I have lots of T-shirts that were Ricks and now I wear them.  They aren't flattering at all, but I can't seem to quit wearing them nor throw them away.  So I saw on Pinterest (yes, my new favorite thing) how to change them up.  Sorry no before on this one.
Here is the before, unflattering big shirt on me.
Here is the after.  They would look better on a bit more form fitting jeans or bottoms, but I wasn't going to change into any to take the picture.  They are still really comfortable and now a bit more cute!

What we/I have been up to.

I was planting some veggies and I thought I would clear out a spot in the back flowerbed and plant something there.  Then I thought that I was really sick of Cali and Coby going potty on the bricks.  I do walk them but they have to go somewhere when it is raining or when I can't walk them.  Cali will go in the front yard but also is getting older and can't hold it when she is in the backyard.  TMI?  Anyway I decided to plant a bit of grass there instead and see if they use it.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Our back door to storage is metal and ugly.  The trim on the bottom that is brown has been chewed on by Coby, the paint is flaking, and it has a small rusted out spot on the bottom.  So I am in the process of making it pretty again.  I removed the trim and won't put it back on.  I have scraped it and now just have to prime and paint.  If it quits raining I will get it done and post the results.  I am planning to paint the front door too and all the wood door trim.
Loni had a project to do for a book report.  She wanted to make a paper mache cave.  Here it is all done after she did the report.  We think she did a really good job on the report and a really great job on her project.  Too bad we don't have a huge house to store this huge cave. Anyone want it?:)

I don't know if I need that, but it is the link to the picture above.  Since my sister Jody needed to get on pinterest I got an account and have started looking and adding things to my boards.  It is pretty fun I must say!  Yes kind of addicting.  I like it more than facebook, sorry people, I like this more.  Anyway I saw this picture of a triple bunk bed!  I asked Rick what he thought and he likes it too!  The only problem.....you can't buy it.  Someone made it and submitted the picture.  So now I am trying to figure out how to make it or how to get someone to make plans for me to build it or for someone to build it for me!  Tyce wouldn't be able to sleep in it yet, but within a year I think he would.  Isn't it great?!
